Memphis Hustle Decides to Sponsor Celebrity Game Set in Clarksdale

Updated: Mar 29, 2018

The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, agreed to sponsor the 1st Annual Clarksdale Celebrity Basketball Game presented by the Elvis Williams Foundation.

The game is scheduled for October 13, 2018 at 4pm when the season begins for the NBA and its G-League.

Despite potential players not being able to participate in the celebrity charity game, the Memphis Hustle organization have decided to serve as sponsors instead. This charitable effort is expected to have nearly 3,000 in attendance from the greater Mississippi Delta area.

To raise awareness for sickle cell disease and funding for local youth organizations and outreach programs across the Mississippi Delta, the Hustle will donate a signed team basketball from the organization that will be auctioned off to benefit fundraising efforts to support the Boys and Girls Club of Clarksdale, Coahoma County Youth Outreach, the Coahoma County basketball team, and scholarship programs through the Daye5 Foundation.

Although the season has ended for the Memphis Hustle, fans who want to support may purchase tickets for next season by calling (901) 888-HOOP and pressing 6. Season Ticket Packages start at just $8 per game and include multiple benefits including discounts on gear and merchandise, playoff ticket priority for both the Memphis Hustle and Memphis Grizzlies, invitations to select Grizzlies games during the 2018/19 season and more. Single Game Tickets begin on sale at just $10. Fans can purchase tickets at Ticketmaster locations, online, the Landers Center Box Office, or by calling the number provided.
