2018 1ST ANNUAL CLARKSDALE CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME

Jaleesa Collins in association with The Elvis Williams, Sr. Foundation would like to invite you to the 1st Annual Clarksdale "I Put On For My City" Celebrity Basketball Game, a charity benefit game to support underprivileged youth. We are the hosting the event on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Coahoma Community College Pinnacle Arena, Clarksdale, Mississippi at 4pm. This year, the intriguing and highly anticipated event will consist of a diversity of players participating in the game with the desire to benefit underprivileged and marginalized at-risk youth throughout Clarksdale and surrounding areas in the Mississippi Delta. In the near future, we hope and desire to reach children across a global spectrum. The mission is to create opportunities for youth by enhancing the focus on educational and youth outreach programs to provide youth with a better quality of life and access to opportunity. We are also dedicated to empowering communities and raising awareness for sickle cell disease and assist with raising funds to support scholarship programs and local charities. 

 

The entertainment corps will consist of a medley of entertainers, recording artists, actors and comedians committed to using their influence to strengthen educational and youth opportunities. Celebrity guest appearances include Grammy-award winning super producer Blac Elvis, former Cincinnati Bengals Shay Hodges, Memphis rapper Y.K.O.M., "The Wire"" and "New Edition Story" actor and comedian Melvin Jackson, Jr., Bad Azz Music Syndicate rapper OG Dre, actor and choreographer Darrin Henson, Miami Heat Champion Earl Barron, comedian Reedo Brown, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and fitness model O'SheaDaModel, WNBA Champion Tiffany Bias and former player Brittany Jackson, Mississippi rappers Kronic, SQ Lac and J Gutta, professional basketball trainer and hooper Adrian "Konfuzion" Mack, Snoop from "The Wire," rappers OG Boo Dirty and Dorrough, retired NFL players Willis McGahee and Mario Haggan, and actor Markeith Coleman from "The Butler. "Other players include local hometown athletes Cameron Monix Jr., Daryl Moore, Ravern Johnson, Tyrell "Winona" Landfair, Jonathan "Trill" Fieldz, Donald Savery and Antwyan "Boo" Jones.

 

Special celebrity guests include Clarksdale native and Bad Azz Music Syndicate rapper OG Dre, R&B singer Willie Taylor of Day 26, And1's basketball phenoms Jude "Hollywizzle" Thomas, Whodini and Mismatch, music and event promoters Rico Owens and Curtis Givens. Other invited guests include comedian Emmanuel Hudson, MLB player Carl Edwards Jr., Penny Hardaway and Mike Miller.

Come watch Team Clarksdale face off against Team Coahoma in a battle for control of the city while putting on an encore performance to raise awareness! Doors will open at 4pm, starting with the Slam Dunk Contest and followed by the celebrity game at 5pm. Halftime performances by Neicey and D-Love of Sipp Starz Ent, rappers Y.K.O.M., Dorrough, and OG Boo Dirty. Sounds by DJ Donny P and DJ Black Ice with a special DJ set by DJ Sean Blaze. Come enjoy a day of fun-filled entertainment for the entire family with raffles, competitions, and surprise giveaways. Meet and greets and photo opportunities will be opened to guests and fans immediately following the game.

 

All  proceeds will be donated to local charities and youth outreach programs including the Coahoma County Youth Outreach and research efforts for sickle cell disease through the Elvis Williams Sr. Foundation.
